I think it’s because we don’t know much about Michael? No one ever thought of that “plot twist” in CoHF (tbh, in my opinion Clare did it just to satisfy Cassie Jean) AND WAYWOOD AT LEAST HAVE LOTS NICE FANARTS FROM CASSIE JEAN *cry*
