Hey :3 remember when I asked for that scene when Alec comes into Jace’s room with the new coat after being out the whole day? Well, I had this scene in my head and wrote it down and it totally doesn’t fit the canon, but who cares … I did it anyway!
It’s in the chapter ‘Bad Blood’ if anybody’s interested. 🙂

Magnus opened the door before Alec could knock. Bright blue eyes snapped up at him and he fell all over for that boy – young man again.
“Hey, Alec”, he said and leaned against the doorframe of Ragnor’s cottage. He didn’t feel like going inside. It was difficult to breathe with these walls surrounding them. But he was also afraid what could happen between them behind closed doors.
Alec was out of breath, one foot set on the first step leading up to the entrance door. HIs hair had been caught by the wind one too many times, like always, but maybe this time it was even messier.
“What’s up? You seem like you are in a hurry.” Magnus couldn’t bring himself to smile. His emotions twisted his guts. It hurt and he craved it at the same time. He craved the feeling of his heart speeding up with anticipation, joy … fucking love. Alec took the second step to stand in front of Magnus now, his breathing slowly evening out. His expression open like always, filled with worry, fear, exhaustion. Magnus wanted to keep him here, away from the world that got between them again and again. Then Alec dropped his gaze to his boots and without thinking much about it, Magnus reached out to softly grab Alec’s chin and bring his eyes back up.
There was still no smile between them, but the quiet pleading ‘Look at me’ was alive on Magnus’ fingertips like nothing else. Alec didn’t object. He seemed to calm down again, too.
“So, are you sure?,” he asked his eyes not leaving Magnus’, one hand placed on the doorframe. ‘I still like your eyes, I would never look away because of them.’
“Yes, I am. He’s not back in New York.” ‘I missed you.’
Magnus’ fingers slipped from Alec’s chin. There was a whole new feeling of emptiness left behind. “Well,” he eventually said with a heavy sigh. He was tired, so tired. “No you know for sure and you can run back to your friends letting them know what’s up.”
He took a step back and was surprised by Alec suddenly reaching out for him, though his fingertips stopped right before actually touching the dark skin of the warlock’s arm. ‘What a cruel day’, Magnus thought as his lips curved into a cruel smile and he leaned forward a bit.
“What’s wrong, little shadowhunter?,” he whispered, his voice almost hoarse with desperation. “Already scared to touch the demon spawn? Or are you just afraid somebody might see us out here?” He was being cruel and childish, he knew that. But he was hurting. He had lost a dear friend and was head over heels for a guy that he probably could never have. He wanted to hurt someone, wanted to see somebody else in pain.
Alec took a deep breath, his eyes focused on his fingertips hovering over Magnus’ arm.
“No,” he finally said and drew his hand back, pressing it balled into a fist against his chest. “But I – I always feel like I’m hurting you whenever I touch you … and I don’t want to hurt you.”
He looked up at Magnus again and the world around them shattered like so many times before. Magnus had spent centuries developing prejudices against shadowhunters. He’d seen them proven right over and over again and yet Alec tore them down right and left without even realizing it and it left the warlock breathless.
He kissed him, tasted Alec’s lips like so many times before already. It still tasted like the first time. His long fingers got tangled in black hair and somewhere between two eternities Magnus lost his heart completely. Alec’s fingertips danced cautiously across Magnus’ cheeks, found his shoulders, touched him after all … and they were cold.
Magnus broke away, but stayed close. “You’re cold,” he stated his eyes searching Alec’s face. It had the usual red tint, but this time it wasn’t the usual blush, it was painted on by cold wind. Though only seconds later Alec’s face heated up and he nervously bit his lower lip.
“I was in a hurry …”, he whispered. “I wanted to see you.”
That Sebastian-guy would have been great as a gorgeous coat rack, but he didn’t come close to Alexander Lightwood.

*sigh* we could have had so many emotional scenes between them in City of Glass.
