hi! i just saw all your posts about shadowhunters and i agree completely about godfrey gau :) and i do think harry’s acting, and i suppose the whole cast’s acting isn’t so great. but i thought they did the malec kiss ok, what do you reckon?

ok so i stopped watching shadowhunters by like the third episode so i was just wondering, did they give simon a white family? like i know his family must be jewish but jewish people can be white and based on gifs i saw his mother and sister both look pretty european (ik alberto is more of a light skinned latinx but he’s not completely white passing)

well, they did mentione some Jewish ceremonies a few times so i guess Simon and his family are Jewish idk i’m not really familiar with the whole thing so…

how is maryse being concerned about her adopted son creepy lol

because she shows no such concerns or feel the need to defend her own children like she did with her adopted son. and the fact that there is a scene where she watched Jace trains with an admirative look, so yeah that’s creepy. not that i think the show did that (the creepy feels i mean) on purposes of course, but i guess you don’t actually want to hear about my opinion with that attitude of yours right

why are they demonizing maryse in the show like,,, yeah she wasn’t perfect but neither was any other parent in that series!! and out of all the parents maryse was actually one of the better ones and she was so strong and tbh i loved her in the books but in the show they’re making her out to be this terrible person,,, yet robert,,, the man who had an affair and was going to leave them,,, is the good parent like??

you don’t know how much i loathe The Evil We Love from TSFA for the way Clare tried to justify Robert’s affair! And Maryse in the books reminds me so much of my mother who is pretty strict and doesn’t really know how to show affection but clearly loves her kids, so i’m pretty pissed off when they made her the evil one. And the worst part is they made Maryse clearly favor the boys, especially Jace who is definitely the biggest troublemaker of the 3, that’s pretty sexist of the show imo (as if the fact that they made a woman evil and her cheating husband the good one is not enough.)
