lol chill. it’s confirmed that malec will be in the show. just because it’s not in a 2 min long promo (compared to a 2 hr movie) doesn’t mean it’s not happening. and you don’t even have to read the spoilers to know, considering the writers AND MATT AND HARRY talk about malec all the time. lmaoo
lol you are the one who need to chill, do you even understand what i was trying to say?
Omfg and how did you miss the importance of naming the baby max lightwood. It’s literally the most loving thing the lightwood a could do. Not only accept but desire for a warlock child to have their surname. It’s ultimate acceptance and support for Magnus as a part of their family. You should practice deeper reading. Read things and actually think about them rather than just taking them in because you miss so many important points by reading shallowly.
i don’t know if you’ve ever lost someone dear to you, but as for me, naming a baby after someone who RECENTLY die only makes the pain worse because it reminds you of the one who just passed away.
I think usually people go for middle name. And don’t you think the baby deserve a name of his own? And a baby warlock with an obvious warlock mark with a shadowhunter surname is not necessary a good thing. not all shadowhunters are open-minded and when he grows up he might be bullied because of that. and actually, i was talking about robert’s ‘max michael lightwood’ and catarina’s ‘max ragnor lightwood’, like i know some middle name doesn’t fit the whole name but these 2 names are just not right. so no i wasn’t complaining about the fact they named him max lightwood, even though i would prefer an entire new name : so are you done so i can go and do something better?
No I had to mention the ‘who could ever love it’ part because Magnus literally explains how this sometime happens but it went right over your head. You missed the point the story was making where it’s tragic when warlock babies are born. To half ass it wouldn’t do the theme justice. And lily acting like a teenager is completely realistic because she was turned as a teenager and chemically her brain would stay the same. I’m sorry but the facts in this story just went over your head.
wow honestly i start to think this is a joke coz ‘she was turned as a teenager and chemically her brain would stay the same’???? are you serious like almost every vampires in this series as i can remember are turned when they were young but do you see camille or raphael act like they’re 15 or 20? the ‘who could ever love it’ letter is obviously written by the baby’s mother and if she HATE it that much, then she would have throw him off a cliff or into a river, not putting it in front of a shadowhunter academy. and why in the world would she even wrote that? to challenge whoever find the baby to love him??? the one who totally missed the point is you because i was talking about how illogical the letter sounds, not about warlock’s tragic past or something. not to mention if the mother is a mundane, how can she even found the academy???
Your review of bten is really annoying. A few things jumped out at me. The lightwoods gathering to see the baby is super realistic. They think they’ve suddenly become aunts and uncles and they want to see this baby. And did you even read Simons little freak out over who to ask for help? Magnus is the logical choice not only because he’s a warlock like the baby but he is the oldest person Simon knows personally. I’m out of room in this ask or I’d try to remember more. You should maybe reread it.
oh yeah? do i need to remind you that maryse is the head of the new york institute and robert is the inquisitor? yeah like it’s okay that they came once but it’s obvious that they came several times after that? and the fact that they didn’t even blink at the thought of alec having a warlock baby? realistic my ass. and catarina is a warlock too, she is as old as magnus, is a woman and a nurse, clearly she is a better choice and since she is a regular professor at the academy, simon would spend more time with her than with magnus so it would make more sense if he thinks of her first. the fact that they mentioned catarina in their conversation about the baby but never thought of asking her help is no where near logical to me. They could have ask her and then she could be the one who bring the baby to Magnus to take care of him since she is quite a busy woman. yeah, i probably should reread coz all the nonsense gave me headache the first time i read it :
where did you get the photos of magnus’s loft in the show?
um it’s in the released trailer ._.
ok but Magnus’s loft in the show is not the same as the movie
Are you sure?

Are you

really sure?

(left is the movie, right is the show)
The cgi isn’t the best because they’re still in the process of editing. They released the trailer and clips because they wanted things to show at comic con. By the time the show airs the cgi will be much better
yeah but you don’t know that. i do hope so though, since the blood in the promo looks really fake
Hi, so i just wanna know what was your recent text pist refering to?
jonathan morgenstern (most ppl would call him sebastian) and alec lightwood from the mortal instruments series. usually i tried to avoid ship i don’t like, but seriously this is just gross, and i thought jalec was my notp…
okay but like the mortal instruments is an urban fantasy series? yes there should be character development (and i personally think there is) but it isn’t going to be about characters having ‘plotlines’ per say, it is meant like 99% of fantasy-ish genres to be about the bigger save-the-world type thing? characters are only there to carry out that plot i suppose? this is hard to word bc i think characters are the most important thing but also characters dont need individual plots to develop?
i feel like everything that was just said is pretty harsh on tmi and cassandra clare like i’m not saying it’s perfect but i don’t think she put no thought into alec and his development as a character? and also like he’s clearly not just there for representation, there needed to be more than just ‘the holy trinity’ of characters for so many reasons and i don’t think it’s some kind of bad thing that she made one of them gay. i think it’s a very good thing, ‘pointless’ representation is not evil??
okay i will be honest i don’t understand your point here anon? the OP of that Alec post is the one who said that Alec has no individual plot and i simply stated that it’s actually not
just
Alec but lots of other character as well, and it’s not fair of her to say “he has no plot line so i don’t like him at first” (because other characters have no plot line either but she still like them right?). And she also said Alec has no character development until CoHF which i disagree as well because for me he is the one with the most character development??
However i agree with you here ‘characters dont need individual plots to develop’ and Alec is the perfect example, but honestly other than him i don’t see character development in other characters at all??? (okay maybe i’m a little bit biased here). And okay i admit it’s a little harsh to say Cassandra Clare didn’t put any thought into alec character, but i feel that effort isn’t much compare to the time she spend on character like Jace or Simon because as many already pointed out, the way she described Alec’s personalities is all over the place like sometime i feel she doesn’t know what to do with him at all and just write what her fans want??
As for the representation in her book, well, i might not be the best person to talk about that since i’m straight, so whatever she wrote doesn’t have very much effect on me, but i suggest you go to snarktheater or terresdebrume blog, they had a lot to say about Cassandra Clare’s representation and why is not a good thing
