I am not satisfied with the book. It felt more like promotion for the next installment, than anything else. The deaths felt extremely trivial. The relationship between Alec and Magnus seemed just as ‘boring side story’.

I spent most of my reading time, yelling at the book and calling it names…
Why did she have to add so much Emma and co?? You didn’t do it with TID and TMI, so why now?? This was pure promotion. I am furious. In the end you gave everyone ‘a sappy happy ending so just shut the fuck up everyone’. I read about all the shit she has to take because of all the fanfiction-writer talk but… I am so sorry but it felt like a bad ending in a fanfiction. I read fanfictions who handled the relationships better than the book.

What I’m trying to say is, there was too much bad superficial writing. Sometimes it didn’t feel deep at all. They’re in hell. They have a war. People are dying! You are writing a serious story NOT a fanfiction that’s all over the place. Sometimes the characters were OCD.
I took this crack-shit for Banes Chronicles because, let’s face it, it’s Magnus. He’s… for lack of a better description, a rainbow (with a dark dark raincloud attached to it. he’s deep… that’s why I love this character so much!) and I wasn’t really feeling sad that the whole series was just a fanfiction filled with smut, crack and OCD’ness.

But why end your main story, the same way? There was no shocking plot twist. The last minutes of Jonathan’s (Sebastians) live was absolutely unnessecary. As many other things. I didn’t even feel the scene with Magnus’s father. I thought I read that a warlock NEVER has anything from the demon who fathered him? eh? And why should a warlock, a half demon, have no magical power in a demon realm??? That seems so… well, awfully conveniant for the autor… *coughstotallybullshitcoughs* And the thing with Simon was just as much bleh. There could have been more or something entirely different.

And, I speak for a huge fandom here; THERE WASN’T ENOUGH GODDAMN MALEC!!!!! WHERE’S THE MALEC WEDDING?? THE HONEY MOON?? ETC ETC *heads desk* I’m out.
