i didn’t think coliver could get any more fanfiction but it just reached maximum fanfiction, next level fanfiction, this is the fanfictioniest fanfiction, fucking “I LOVE YOU” drunk passing out no sex?? thank you @god and special honors to the fanfic writer who snuck their way into the htgawm writers room

omg i just had the most wonderful Coliver dream ever (okay maybe the 1st Coliver dream ever but whatever). 

It started off with them just being cute together on Valentine (dinner at fancy restaurant, walking home, kissing … that kind of stuff) since i read some fluffy Valentine fanfics before bed. Then the scene changed & they were on a … mission (not sure if they were working for Annalise or they were detectives) in this fancy building & they had to act like couple. They pretent to go shopping for clothes and Christmas presents & they enjoyed it a little bit too much. But Connor was also acting a little bit weird. One minute he was all laughing & cheerful then the next he became super clingy & said weird stuff like “Don’t leave me” or “Stay close to me” or “Don’t lose focus” etc. And he kept taking on & off his scarf everytime Oliver turned away. When the scarf is on, he was happy, when the scarf is off, he turned serious. They were very distracted by each other they ended up losing the suspect. Then they realized the suspect was getting away, or maybe someone told them i don’t remember, so they went separated to different directions to find him. Oliver went looking outside in the rain & when he get back to the building gate, he saw Connor standing outside the door, with his scarf on & didn’t look like he had just run around the buiding at all. Oliver called him but he didn’t answer. And when Connor looked up, he seems so sad and said: “I told you to stay close to me”. Before Oliver had time to react there was sound of a gunshot & then everything frozed. Then somehow Oliver get pulled backward & he couldn’t pull away. He screamed Connor’s name & heard someone calling his name & he tried to reach Connor but couldn’t & Connor just kept standing there looking at him with sad eyes. Then Oliver jerked awake & he was in a hospital with Connor being a crying mess beside his bed. It turned out that they did have a mission & both of them got shot but wasn’t seriously injured but somehow Oliver has not awakened. It ended with Connor hugging Oliver & keep saying sorry & swear he would never drag Oliver into this kind of thing again. This dream is ridiculously beautiful since everything was so vivid, I can actually see Jack & Conrad’s faces & get a 360 when everything frozed, & then when Oliver get pulled away, the rain started falling upward & then there were flashbacks of everything that happened, it’s like watching a movie & i was so happy i wasn’t even mad when my mom waked me up after only 2 hours of sleep to clean up the house lol

Now that I’m back, I watched this scene again. I watched it over and over again because it made my heart clench and swell and I just…. Here’s when I wish I had the gift so many of these fanfic writers…

(10) This is when it got a bit weird for me. I don’t know how I feel about the portrayal of Connor’s feelings after the kiss. It’s just that…. I feel like Oliver here is showing so much more emotion than Connor, and I’m a little surprised by it.  Given that Connor was portrayed as pining for Oliver and all that… I wonder why – when Oliver actually does share his feelings – Connor suddenly doesn’t seem to know how to react? His reactions just didn’t seem… honest to me.. and this upset me a little… I’d like to know the actor’s thought process when it came to this scene because I don’t think he brought as much to Connor in this scene as he usually does in every episode. I’m just a little confused. If the person you’ve been hurting for is expressing how he feels about you, and it’s something you want to hear because it means that you can salvage what you had with this person, why would you not close the gap between the both of you? Was this intentional? Because it feels like although Connor is saying one thing about wanting to go slow and only trusting Oliver… His actions, his tone, his body language… I expected a lot more from this bit.

First, i think Connor was actually surprised by Oliver’s words. I think he actually believe that Oliver hates him, & everything he has done after episode 9 wasn’t in order to get Oliver back, but just to remain contact with Oliver. So when Oliver said that not only he didn’t hate Connor, but in fact “more than like him”, i think it took him by surprise.

Second, now that Oliver shared his actual feelings, they can’t go back to the way they were anymore (i mean being “not exclusive”). Now, if Connor took his chance to also confess his feelings & … i don’t know, promise he would never do that again maybe, i believe Oliver would forgive him & they could actually dating. But the problem here is there are still things Connor can’t tell Oliver (the murder & his lies about being addicted) & maybe Connor didn’t want to jump into a relationship with Oliver while still lying to him, because he knew Oliver deserved better than that, that’s why he was holding back. And maybe he himself wasn’t ready for a serious relationship yet.

I myself would prefer they get together AFTER everything is settled & Connor told Oliver the truth
