What I can’t stop thinking about is the possibility that the Bookman mentioned at the end of Night 222 is actually Lavi, and I know it sounds weird and I sure as hell hope I’m wrong, but I just can’t stop thinking about it.
Is there even a possible scenario that doesn’t end up with Lavi being
physically and/or emotionally badly hurt? Because sadly I can’t think of one.
actually, there is, where bookman disowned Lavi as his successor in order to protect him and then sacrified himself to help them escape and now Lavi is sitting helplessly beside his deathbed inside the mansion, unable to do anything but watch the closest person he can call family die-oh wait, nevermind
The Noahs let Bookman go makes sense but why would they keep Lavi then? If they already had all the information they need, Lavi is basically useless to them. He is only a apprentice, he barely knows anything about what happened 30 (or is it 35) years ago, he doesn’t have any special power that is valuable to the Noahs (and i doubt the Noah needs any more power, they are quite invincible themself) and on top of that he is an exorcist, the only thing they would want him to be is dead. and since i don’t believe he is dead, i think he managed to escape as well, OR he is with Bookman in the mansion, just no longer a apprentice anymore
Why does everyone assume Lavi being unable to succeed Bookman means he’s dead? There’s plenty of reasons why he couldn’t. I mean, he does need at least one eye and a hand to record, right?
funny coz my thought was bookman disowned him therefore he doesnt need to cover his rigth eye anymore so next time we see him he might have 2 eyes but now there is a chance he doesn’t even have his left eye…
Bookman disowning him is also possible, imo. He cares way too much. But if Lavi comes back without his eye patch, I will probably fall out of my fucking chair lm ao. That said, I really hope he hasn’t lost his status as Bookman’s apprentice because of a terrible injury, but ya know.
but Lavi appears with 2 eyes would make quite an entrance don’t you think? (he deserves a big comeback to make up for all the time he didn’t get to appear) i’m not sure about Bookman disowned Lavi because of his emotions though. he showed that he cared quite a lot of times before, there is no reason for Bookman to disown him because of that reason while being kept hostage by the Noahs (except – maybe Bookman told the Noahs about something that happened in the past – he have to think of his own life first after all – which is so horrible it made Lavi doesn’t want to be Bookman apprentice anymore. I hope it’s not the case though, coz i kind of like him being a Bookman, it’s a part of his identity now). My guess would be Bookman disowned him in order to save him (how? i have no clue) or he lost the unique ability that get him chosen to be an apprentice in the first place (his right eye – idk why all of my theories would end up with his eyes in the end…). Some said he might get his Innocence crystalized and while it’s a possibility, i think Hoshino wouldn’t write such an important moment off scene, Kanda had an entire (pointless) chapter about the crystallization of his Innocence after all. The same goes for if Hoshino wanted him dead, it would be on screen.
