When the art book comes out tomorrow, you’ll see a butt ton of art from that! But I’d wager that scene is near the climax and Judy has helped Nick take his off as a sign of trust and realizing predators aren’t as dangerous as they’ve been made out to be. This was back when Nick was the main character, and a whole lot changed since then. 

So yeah! That’s likely what that’s from–old animation for the old plot and old Nick design!
