As for the movie, I haven’t had any trouble. I read the books first and I had my own thoughts on what the characters should look like way before I ever saw the actors, so they haven’t really affected me… Maybe Godfrey Gao sneaks into Magnus occasionally but that’s mostly because he was such a damn perfect Magnus.
Magnus in the 2nd flower card is definitely inspired by Godfrey Gao, just look at that jawline
