I’m just saying

wolfspirals:

So, you guys know that Connor is not necessarily clear, yet, right? It takes at least 3 if not 6 months for HIV to grow enough in a human body to be detected by the test. So, that means unless the show is taking extra liberty with its timeline, Oliver did not contract HIV from the one random dude they showed him with when he was broken up with Connor, which means he’s had it since before Connor. That also means Connor is going to have to be re-tested at least every 3 months until it’s been at least 6 months from his contact with Oliver. It also means Oliver, if he’s being upfront about this, is going to need to tell that random dude that he’s positive. Connor’s conscience will also be telling him that he might want to inform every dude he’s been with since he’s been with Oliver. Like, there is strong potential for HIV panic moments, here, which are never fun. There is strong potential for a lot of different plots stemming from this, and hopefully they are informative plots and realistic. Like, all this fan fiction with Connor being completely okay because he knows he doesn’t have it right after he finds out about Oliver? Not entirely accurate. He may not know that he’ll need to be re-tested, but I’m sure he does, if he has a good doctor, that he’s already been getting tested at least once a year. I’m just saying, there is HUGE potential in this plot for it to be expanded upon and thought about. Explore that, please. Thank you.

ETA: Forgot to mention that Oliver assumingly had the initial test not the secondary test. So, he’ll need to go through a secondary test that is more intensive and takes more time to confirm he’s positive. I don’t know if the show will show that, but thought I should add.

To all you people who say that Rebecca deserved what happened to her, let me remind you that:

– she was innocent
– she has been mistreated by everybody
– only Wes fully took her side and even then ended up betraying her
– she was forced and tied against her will
– oh, and she was INNOCENT
– all she wanted was to look out for her friend
