?????when has frank treated laurel wrong????? besides 1×01 he has never been rude to her so i really dont get your point?

So far a lot of the stuff he’s done to her isn’t outright, it’s subtle, but I see it getting progressively worse and it makes me upset that they are putting this female character who has a lot seems to have a lot of self respect in a relationship where the male has all the power. It makes laurel seem like she’s stupid and naive when she is not. There isn’t even a very strong basis for her growing feelings and the only thing that seems natural is their sexual attraction. I have nothing wrong with her wanting to get down and dirty with frank, in fact it’s something that I actually like about the dynamic. It’s nice to see a female character be unapologetically sexual, but outside of the sexy times I think the relationship is a disservice to both characters.

He makes her feel bad about wanting to have sex with him by saying she is using him for his body when he was the one to start pursuing her. He makes this big ol stink about getting to know the real him while lying to her at every turn. He acts offended for accusing him of murdering a girl even though he’s done just that. I know he is trying to protect himself but the way he does it with laurel makes her feel stupid and like she is going insane, which she even brought up to Wes after she went through his stuff.

That scene in the car makes me really uncomfortable. Not only was frank dismissing Laurel, he was talking to her like she was being irrational and then even had the gal to get her to play his lil errand girl. Laurel was obviously upset with being treated that way, but all the fandom seems to think is that it’s “cute and domestic uwu” completely ignoring that Laurel herself was obviously upset about it and before someone tries to say that michaela was also being like that to laurel, michaela isn’t dating laurel. The car scene showed the audience that the power dynamics of their relationship isn’t equal and when it comes down to it, Frank will just do whatever he thinks is best while laurel needs approval.

HTGAWM Character Ages

disneymusical:

I just saw a post in the tag saying that Connor is supposed to be 19 years old..I looked it up because that didn’t seem right to me…so here are the character’s ages according to the Pilot script in case anyone wanted to know. Anything crossed out are the names in the original script that were later changed.

(In order of appearance)

Michaela Pratt: 27 years old
Patrick Donahue Connor Walsh: 25 years old
Wes Gibbins: 27 years old (Maybe they decided to change this to 23 or 24 because that kid in the flashback “10 years ago” does not look 17)
Laurel Wilding Castillo: 23 years old
Lila Stangard: 21 years old
Annalise Dewitt Keating: 40s
Doucheface (literally everytime Asher is mentioned/speaks in the script this is what’s written haha): 20s
Frank Delgado Delfino: 38 years old
Bonnie Winterbottom: 40s (pretty sure this was later changed as well)
Rebecca Sutter: 22 years old
Logan Griffin O’Reilly: 22 years old
Oliver: 30 years old
Tom Sam: 40s
Nate Seidel Lahey: 38 years old

I had completely forgotten that Annalise is the actual “bad person” in the series. This show not only has me rooting for the killer, it also has me annoyed with the one character trying to do the right thing. Wow. Thank you for your answer on that last post.

Yea, and you weren’t the only one. I’m sure many HTGAWM fans were rooting for Annalise to prevail over Emily. That’s how the show paints her, she has her good moments, and she’s deeply flawed and scarred and has so many secrets but she’s good at her job and she makes no apologies. So we like her, we love her, we want to be her, and we ignore her bad actions because well…that’s the show.

It all depends on whose side you’re on. Like Law & Order : SVU, whenever I watch it I’m always on the side of Olivia and her team. But when I’d watch other shows with cops I’d be on the other side.

The thing about these two women though is that they’re a lot alike. Annalise and Emily both have similar qualities in their ruthlessness and their unforgiving nature. Emily taunted and mocked Asher after his father killed himself. Yes Asher loved his dad, and we all felt for him when he found out what happened, and maybe Emily shouldn’t have said what she said to a distraught young man.

But honestly, if you think about it and Annalise was Emily and knew about what Asher’s dad did, would she have said anything different?

Annalise has taunted, mocked, berated, belittled Bonnie since season one. She does the same with Frank and she does it to the students too. Annalise has made them feel smaller than nothing, making them completely dependent on her and when they are she cuts them lose and watches them sink and choke for air until she’s ready pull them out of the water. Until she’s ready for them to be completely hers again.

Emily is the same. But she has no sympathy for people who break the law. I remember what she said to Asher at a bar, she told him that contrary to what he must believe murder isn’t a good thing and that people don’t get to just murder people and get away with it. -Asher had also told her that Sam wasn’t a good guy. She also said, “It feels good doesn’t it? To be on the right side of the law.”

So it’s like, ones Darth Vader and the other is Luke Skywalker, but who is your  Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker?
