You know what I really want to read right now? A fic where Lavi or Kanda tries to seduce the other. There’re so many fics out there (and by no means do I mean they aren’t good, they are!) where the two of them kind of become friends, and then kind of bumble into a relationship, and etc. It’s a mutual awkward togetherness that’s so cute and endearing and very canon-inspired, and that’s all good. But, you know, once in a while, let us have some grown-up, realistic, one-sided, boy meets boy on Grindr or a bar or passing each other on the streets (*ahem*) and goes dayum and then one does not-over-the-top, effective flirting and the other goes, huh, well, I see what you’re doing, and the chase goes on.
Bonus if Kanda’s the one doing the chasing, cause there’s just not enough Kanda chasing Lavi around the universe narratives around, bar clandestine7 and tami3 and one of the fics by aozu and this one section in this one drabble fic by cinderrain. If I can literally count this on one hand out of all the laviyuu fics well I think we have a blue ocean situation here.

kinda unrelated but talking about grown-up stuffs, when it comes to kanda, fandom usually go with 2 directions: the total virgin or totally normal teenager boy with totally normal sex drive which i find somewhat not really fit, since it’s canon that kanda is obviously awared of his attractiveness and even made good use of it (he totally lived off ladies’ money in the three months he went away!) but at the same time i can’t really imagine he has actual experiences in that department (in theory maybe, but not in practice) he just doesn’t care enough to act on it (some masturbation maybe, but i have the feeling he got off on training and killing…). so what if he used this… advantage on missions, maybe to convince *cough*seduce*cough* a witness for help or for information idk, but ONLY when he went on mission alone because he would have to kill anyone who know about it but Lavi somehow found out when they were on a mission together (for example Lavi tried to seduce the girl but fail because she was obviously interested in kanda and lavi tried to convince kanda to help getting the information and kanda just wanted the mission to end because lavi is.just.too.damn.much so he tried to do it in secret but lavi found out anyway and it’s totally blackmail material and kanda would have to kill him now but you can’t just kill a fellow accommodator so kanda used the seduction to make lavi shut up and it totally worked (duh!) and even though after that lavi never said a word about it but it became their little secret…
you know what? fuck kanda! i will have lavi for myself

Yep. Finally. I finished something and it’s now up. It’s an AU Laviyuu story with sci-fi elements and the concept of soulmates. Everyone has a soulmate clock in this world, and it counts down to the second you meet them. The story revolves around Kanda, his soulmate timer, and the people in his life.
A word of warning: the fic gets fairly dark toward the end. It has graphic violence, lots of cusswords (it’s Kanda), some pretty steamy sex, and it’s in 2nd person (i.e. “you do this”, where “you” is Kanda’s POV). So please don’t read this at work or something.

well, for a laviyuu shipper who is not that fond of alma (i don’t hate him but …well) i feel the ending was quite… dissatisfying? i think my problem with it is that your introduction of alma is quite strong and the fact that he was introduced later in the story and it ended right after that leave a very big impression with the readers, and at the same time, made Lavi’s character seems… weaker (man, why do i so bad at words) even though the laviyuu part of the story is very lovely. readers don’t have time to recover from the shock of kanda meeting his soulmate and the resolution between him and lavi is not enough (for me, at least) to convince people that kanda chosed lavi out of his feelings (instead of the situation). the fact alma is the bad guy kinda adds to that. i mean, soulmate aside, between a good guy you’re in a relationship with for 2 years and you did in fact in love with him and a guy who is a murderer, the result is kinda… obvious. with the implication that under different circumstances kanda would chose alma for sure, lavi & kanda’s relationship suddenly become not convincing enough and of course as someone who like laviyuu it left me pretty disappointed 😦 i read some of your other fics and get the impression that your view towards lavi/kanda/alma can be summed up in “
had he met you first, i wouldn’t have stood a chance” so maybe you made the ending this way on purpose. if so, then you have succeeded but… laviyuu… 😦
so… Kanda’s favorite color is red and he likes dog but you’re trying to tell me he is not into Lavi? that sounds fake but… OK, whatever you say man…
