Like, you can just open a random page & find something special about Alec there (even in chapters where Alec wasn’t mentioned at all)

My personal favorite:

Magnus certainly did not need protection, and nobody had ever even thought to offer it, certainly not a Shadowhunter

Yeah Alec is the first one in centuries who ever think of protect Magnus but there are people still think he is not important or special at all i just

tbh i like WTBTSWHE much better than COTL. i was really excited when reading quotes in Malec tag, but when i actually read the chapter, it kinds of … disappointing? There is nothing new: Alec is actually gorgeous, Alec is protective, Alec is different from other shadowhunters, Magnus is old & been through a lot of relationships blah blah blah … Those things we all knew. And both Alec & Magnus seems a little bit … off to me, not exactly OOC but still … And the whole chapter is kind of lack feelings to it, idk (even with the hot make out scene). The best parts of this chapter was Richard, and the reason why Magnus likes to call Alec ‘Alexander’ (but i’m not even surprise at this reason, it was my headcanon, but i’m glad now it’s actually canon)
