I’m not even going to lie, I judge people, and I judge them hard. if I see a person with some wacky ass clothes on or a girl wearing bright blue eyeshadow up to her super thin arched sharpie looking eyebrows ya I’m judging them because I personally don’t agree with their choices, but I keep my mouth shut and keep my damn opinions to myself because I’m not a piece a shit who wants to put others down. it’s perfectly okay to not agree with someones choices, but there is absolutely no reason for you to tell them that you think what they’re doing is wrong or to tell them that you don’t like how they look or dress or act. THERE IS NO FUCKING REASON FOR IT. stop talking shit and then defending yourself by saying “oh well i’m just stating my opinions!!! freedom of speech!!!!” you’re not just innocently stating your opinions, you’re being a jerk.

Connor breaks Oliver’s computer with a hammer in hopes of getting Phillip out of their lives. LOL. Dude knows where y’all live and knows all the groceries you have in your cabinets. Breaking this laptop is pointless and also very expensive.

falafelhee:

So what I’m not okay with is Oliver setting up a fake profile using Connor’s picture and expecting him to go on a date with a potential murderer to get DNA evidence for people he’s practically been working face to face with for only 5 minutes. Fuck the thrill. Isn’t Connor’s safety a bit more of a priority, buddy??? Like, pls.

Have you even bothered to watch the bloody interviews or do you just love to judge something without any supporting facts for that, they made that trailer and clip out of bits and pieces, they have stated in like 5 interviews they where STILL working on the FIRST episode, the effects etc where just fillers, check your facts before you go around spitting negativity and besides all shows start off like that supernatural and Dr. Who for example two of the biggest shows out there.

demoncrys-angelsfall:

Good Afternoon, @paolachatters

I have watched the interviews, however, I will admit not all. I DO love to dissect, critique and discuss television/movies/literature. Because that is one of the best ways to fully understand the content. However, I am not without knowledge. The trailers that have been released show very amateur cinematography for ABC family. ABC family has the ability to create shows that are well shot. They have proved this with Pretty Little Lairs, The Fosters etc. even their first trailers were shot with more skill. They should have waited until they had enough finished content to make a trailer. Most shows do. Great! They are still working on it. That is good, however, they still shouldn’t have released the trailer. Supernatural’s first seasons only issue was inexperienced actors. Their trailer was put together quite well. Are you talking the original Doctor Who, or the reboot? Either way, the cinematography and effects in both were great for the time. And no. A lot of shows on big networks don’t start off with bad cinematography. I will wait for the first few episodes to comment on the writing and acting, because it is probably the only thing that could save it if the cinematography shows to remain poor.

Here’s the thing. I will be as negative as I want to be. That is my prerogative. Not everyone is going to like this show. Some people will only like it partially. Some people will love it. They put themselves out their for critique the second they started releasing footage. Now, there are a lot of great things that can come from this show. (Actors, well written story line, etc.) But from what I have seen thus far, it may not hold up to the standard that ABC family is known for. I do hope that it holds up, even surpasses, because they do have that chance.

But for you to come and attack me for critiquing this show, is quite rude. This is how entertainment and fandoms work. People dissect, critique and hate content. People love, praise and obsess over content. Both are valid. People are going to have different opinions than you. That is OKAY. No content is going to be loved 100%, and vis versa. Harry Potter, Percy Jackson AND The Mortal Instruments have all seen people love, and hate their movie adaptions. Part of loving content, is allowing others to love it in their own way. I started reading The Mortal Instruments in 7th grade. I’m now in my second year of college. I love the universe. But I will still critique the books, movie and TV show. I may also change my mind after the first few episodes. As you will likely love it whole heartily, or whatever your final reaction will be. That is OKAY. It is what it is. As soon as you realise that, you may spend less time sending spiteful messages on the internet, and maybe see another comment like mine and go “ Huh. I disagree. I won’t send them hate mail because I realise that their opinion is theirs, and my messages probably won’t change their mind.”

Thank you for writing me, it’s always nice to discuss a fandom that I don’t usually get to. If you like The Mortal Instruments, the book series Finishing School by Gail Carriger is a great set if books. I hope that your Friday is a great one, and that your weekend is wonderful.

Sincerely,

Zac

I feel like Robert was written kind of crack-ish, but I like him better that way anyway lol. The rest I personally don’t think was crack. Just Robert.

holycaribou:

robert was definitely written crack-ish, which annoyed me a lot. but lily chen was also written in very badly? like it made no sense that someone who was raphael’s second and now was the first of the clan (someone who’s in a position of power and would be wary of nephilim) that she would just barge into fucking alicante and then proceed to snub an entire room full of shadowhunters that can probably kill her. and what’s with beatriz and julie talking about “malec”? it’s not like they have enough pop culture background to make up shipping names???

any time anyone says they think connor will cheat again my eyes roll so far back into my head that i get a good view of my brain like sorry i don’t like to insult other people’s headcanons theories interpretations etc but how little attention would you have to have been paying to think that would still be any way in character connor walsh deserves more trust at this stage

jodiemariecomer:

literally same lmfao. Like, sorry, some headcanons are completely implausible and have zero basis in reality, and not all interpretations are correct. Like the other day, I saw a comment saying Oliver is too “weak” and “fragile” and “vulnerable” for Connor and I was like ??? how the hell????? are we even watching the same show? because that is not Oliver’s characterization at all. “Vulnerable” actually fits Connor better than it does Oliver.

My biggest pet peeves in the fandom are 1) completely unfounded Oliver hate and 2) the constant worry that Connor is going to cheat again. If you really think that lowly of Connor, then why the hell do you even want him to be with Oliver? Not to mention, it is so obvious from the behind-the-scenes stuff that they are still in a good place up until what they’ve filmed so far.
