cup to the Clave? I recalled the words “bargaining chip” were used at some
point. Are they really that naïve they think Jace (cause let’s face it, at this
point Clary is useless against trained shadowhunters) will be able to take down
Valentine without any backup?

But
by all means, make Alec the bad guy here.

Also you moral conundrum is really not one Clary. Simon didn’t ask to die, bringing him back as a vampire is the closest thing to ‘fixing’ him you have, and if he really doesn’t want to be a vampire all he’s got to do is stand in the sun
