I thought I had become more confident over the years. It’s actually more the realization that strangers don’t care about my actions, the same way I don’t care about theirs.

one problem i have with show!alec is that he seems to want to make sure everyone know that he is pissed off, he is so vocal about it, which is the total opposite of canon Alec who want to stay as lowkey as possible. (and i don’t remember Alec to be that rude with Simon, but maybe it’s just me, it’s been a while since i read the book)
